What Hen’s reviews are all about

Welcome to Hen’s Music Reviews and thanks for dropping by!

This page started as a wacky, zany idea I had on Facebook… Well, not ON Facebook, per se, but to do with Facebook.

Lise’s (my beautiful wife) & my CD’s were strewn about the house in a higgeldy-piggeldy fashion so they needed to be sorted out (I accept full responsibility for the shemozzle of the CD predicament). Whilst sorting through them, I decided and declared to Lise that I would review every single CD we own. She said, “Oh, God.”

And it started.

Here is the ‘primary’ page, which I update first.

After a week or so and quite a few reviews, I was encouraged by a lot of people to take the reviews further than the relative safety of Farcebook into the big, bad world of blogging and the entire interwebz. To be honest the Farcebook format is a bit restrictive anyway and doesn’t really work how I want it to. Then again, I’m yet to find out if this bloggamy shindig can do what I want. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it easy enough to sort through and find a specific artist.

I’m trying to stick to a formula to the reviews; doing them alphabetically by artist, then chronologically by album. I’ll be updating at least every few days with another bunch of reviews.

I have also decided to attempt interviews with musos and people I consider to be influential (even if just to me) in regards to music.

So here it is. Every. Single. CD.

To be more specific, it’s actually every album/EP. I’m not reviewing the CD singles, because that would be kinda pointless… “This is a good song. Umm… Yeah.” You see? It just doesn’t really sit well with singles.
